Dear Participant:

Our Religious Education program has an excellent team of catechists that will teach you about the Catholic faith. Together, we will experience great joy when you receive your sacrament of confirmation. We will all rejoice in achieving this great success.

Our mission of catechesis is supported by contributions obtained through registration. Your contributions underwrite the operating costs for the Religious Education Program in order to accomplish our yearly goals. You need to be registered and contributing for at least six months. To register you will need to bring required documents and your contributions need to be given in full.

Contributions are as follow:

Active Members $100.00
Non-Members $125.00

The classes are in September and January, in both languages, English and Spanish; duration is from 10-12 weeks. The class co-requisite is to attend Mass on Sundays. The classes are Wednesdays from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and Saturdays from 9:00am -11:00am. Confirmation classes are short term, absences to class or Mass may prevent you from receiving the sacrament. Class and Mass attendance are recorded. The lesson planning is done weekly, if you miss a class, you need to discuss with your catechist for makeup. You are required to attend a Retreat and to a ceremony rehearsal.

Documents Required For Registration

Provide a copy of the following documents:

  • Baptism Certificate (*)
  • Communion Certificates
  • Marriage Certificate, if married civilly (**)

(*) The participant’s name will appear in the confirmation certificate like it was written on the baptism certificate.

If you are married civilly In order to receive your sacraments, you will need to start the process to con-validate your marriage into the Catholic Church.

(**) If you or your spouse has been married before, there are protocols to follow according to the Metropolitan Tribunal from the Archdiocese that handles those issues relating to marriage, i.e., dispensations and annulments. You need to inform at the time of your registration, your personal situation, there are advocates certified by the Archdiocese who will be assisting you in this process. Every case is individual and all information is kept confidential; you will not be able to receive your sacraments until a dispensation or annulment has been approved.

When Selecting A Sponsor

A sponsor needs to be at least sixteen or older, have been confirmed, participate in the blessed Eucharist and live a life of faith. The sponsor cannot be the mother or the father [C.C.L.874]”.

Please consider if this person is in fact living their Catholic faith; this person should be someone very special in your Christian life, someone meaningful that will share their Love for God with you.

Sponsor Documents Required For Registration

You need to provide copy of the following documents:

  • Baptism certificate
  • Confirmation certificate
  • Catholic marriage certificate, if married
  • Sponsor letter from your parish

Documents for participant and sponsor need to be submitted during registration. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in this process.
