52nd Annual Spring Festival - Thank you!

52nd Annual Spring Festival - Thank you!

On behalf of Father Ivan, Father Jakub, and the Festival Committee, we would like to express our profound gratitude to all who helped make the Our Lady of the Lakes 52nd Annual Spring Festival such a wonderful event!

Our four day festival is a great community event which brings together so many people from our parish, school, and beyond, and it would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of all our volunteers. We are truly grateful to all who contributed in one way or another from our sponsors, to our volunteers, to our patrons who attended. Thank you to all!

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the blessings You have poured upon us during our 52nd Annual Spring Festival. Thank You for the beautiful weather that graced our event and for keeping everyone safe throughout the weekend.

We are especially grateful for our dedicated Festival Committee members, who worked tirelessly over the past months to make this event possible. Bless them abundantly for their efforts, and grant them rest and renewal in the days ahead.

Lord, we thank You for the many volunteers who generously gave their time and talents, for the sponsors whose generous support made our festival a success, and for the attendees who joined us in celebration, supporting our church and school.

May the joy and fellowship experienced during our festival continue to inspire our parish community to grow in faith, love, and service.

Amen.

ABCD 2026

ABCD 2026

As we begin this year's journey, we open our hearts with gratitude and hope. Our 2026 campaign starts this week, and together we have the power to create lasting impact. If each of us offers even a small portion of what we have, the collective blessing becomes immeasurable. If every member of our community pledged just $365, we would, without a doubt, reach our goal and continue the work we are called to do. May generosity flow from spirit to spirit, and may we move forward united in purpose, faith, and love.

========

Prayer Candles

Prayer Candles

"I am the light of the world.
Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness
but will have the light of life."
John 8:12

LET HIS LIGHT SHINE!!

In the Catholic church, light has always had a special significance because it represents Christ. We know that Jesus called himself the Light of the world. Additionally, St. John’s Gospel connects Christ with the imagery of light in John 1:4: "In him was life; and the life was the light of men."

Lighting a candle for someone living or deceased is a way to both extend your prayers and show solidarity with the person the prayer is being made on behalf of. We also believe in the importance of our prayers for those who have died, asking the Lord to forgive any sins they may have committed due to human frailty, but it is also a great way to keep their memory alive as we honor who they were and the good they did. The faithful also light candles as a sign of gratitude to God for answered prayers.

Here, at Our Lady of the Lakes, we want to offer you this opportunity to pray for all your intentions with the Prayer Candles placed in our lobby.

These candles can be lit for:

  • The health of someone
  • In memory of someone who has passed away
  • In thanksgiving for a grace or favor granted to you
  • The intentions of someone dear to you (living)

To request your Prayer Candle, please fill the online form.
